GTA 6: What Rockstar Has Officially Confirmed
Rockstar has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is set in the state of Leonida, centered on Vice City, and stars two playable protagonists: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Most other details — the full map, vehicles, weapons and gameplay systems — have not been officially revealed.

GTA 6 launches Thursday, November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version. The date was delayed twice: from a 2025 window, to May 26, 2026, and then to November 19, 2026.
Setting
The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, centered on Vice City. Rockstar has officially named Vice City and the Keys (Key Lento). The rest of the map has not been officially detailed.
Characters
You play as Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos — Lucia is the first playable female lead in a mainline GTA. Rockstar also revealed a supporting cast including Cal Hampton, Brian Heder, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, the rap duo Real Dimez and Raul Bautista.
